The beautiful Eaglewood Resort & Spa is a relaxing resort destination, located on 106 acres in a northwest suburb of Chicago, Illinois. It’s a 35-minute drive from downtown Chicago, and 12 miles west of O'Hare International Airport.
Parking is Free.
Room Rates and Making a Reservation
- Special Sleeping Room Rate for conference attendees: Single, double, triple, or quad $99, plus tax.
- This special room rate applies for these nights: October 16, 2012 through October 24, 2012.
- Make your reservations well in advance of the conference, to get the special rate.
- We suggest that you use the Online Sleeping Room Reservation Form. Or else you can call the hotel to make your reservation, and ask for the ThyCa rate. (ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Association, Inc.)
Special Note About Hotel Reservations
The Eaglewood Resort & Spa pre-conference days for room reservations are filling up as of early September.
If you're told (via the hotel's online form, or else when you telephone the hotel) that the hotel does not have more rooms, please contact the ThyCa Conference Team at conference@thyca.org. We will work with the hotel to get you a room. If you do contact us regarding a room reservation, please provide us specific information (the date you are arriving, the date you are checking out, the name under which you want the room to be reserved, and your telephone phone and e-mail contact information).
If you want to book nights that are before or after the conference nights, call the hotel direct (at 630-773-1400) between 7:30 am - 5:00 p.m. CT so that you can speak with an onsite reservation agent at the hotel. Calling the hotel staff is needed because the hotel's web site and call center are not able to extend reservations to dates before or after the conference dates.
Please Note: The deadline for reserving hotel rooms at the special $99 conference rate is September 28. After that date, rooms will be at a higher rate.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From O'Hare Airport.
Take I-190 east toward Chicago. Take I-294 south to I-290 west. Take I-290 west to the US-20/Lake Street/I-355 exit (Exit #7) toward Joliet. This is the second route 20 exit. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Turn right onto Lake Street to Swift Road. Turn right onto Swift Road. The entrance to Eaglewood is 1/3 mile up on the left.
From Midway Airport.
Turn right onto Cicero Avenue to I-55 south. Take I-55 south to I-355 north. Take I-355 north to the US-20/Lake Street exit. Follow the signs to Lake Street. Turn left onto Lake Street to Swift Road. Turn right onto Swift Road. The entrance to Eaglewood is 1/3 mile up on the left.
From the North.
Take I-294 south to I-290 west, I-290 west to the US-20/Lake Street /I-355 south exit towards Joliet. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Turn right onto Lake Street to Swift Road. Turn right onto Swift Road. The entrance to Eaglewood is 1/3 mile up on the left.
From the South.
Take I-294 north to I-290 west. Take I-290 west to the US-20/Lake Street /I-355 south exit (Exit #7) toward Joliet. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Turn right onto Lake Street to Swift Road. Turn right onto Swift Rd. The entrance to Eaglewood is 1/3 mile up on the left.
From the East.

From the West.

From the Northwest.
Take I-90 east to I-290 east. Take I-290 east to I-355 south toward Joliet. Take the US-20/Lake Street exit. Turn right onto Lake Street to Swift Road. Turn right onto Swift Road. The entrance to Eaglewood is 1/3 mile up on the left.
From the Southwest.
Take I-55 north to I-355 north. Take I-355 north to the US-20/Lake Street exit. Follow the signs to Lake Street. Turn left onto Lake Street to Swift Road. Turn right onto Swift Road. The entrance to Eaglewood is 1/3 mile up on the left.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
From O’Hare Airport.
Take the CTA blue line south toward the loop to Clinton Street (30 minutes, fare $2.25). Walk three blocks north to Union Station. From Union Station, take the Metra Milwaukee District West line to Itasca (50 minutes, fare $4.50). Take a taxi the last mile to Eaglewood Resort.
From Midway Airport.
Take the CTA orange line north toward the loop to Quincy/Wells (60 minutes, fare $2.25). Walk four blocks west to Union Station. From Union Station, take the Metra Milwaukee District West line to Itasca (50 minutes, fare $4.50). Take a taxi the last mile to Eaglewood Resort.

Transportation from Airports to Eaglewood Resort and Spa
Taxis and Limojusine Service
Suggestion: Use a suburban taxi company, as they cost the least.
Call a suburban taxi company that charges flat rates to and from the airports. Here are two of them:
It’s suggested that you do not get a taxi from the outside taxi line at either airport. These are Chicago city taxis and charge double fares to suburban locations.

Downtown Chicago Attractions
To get to downtown Chicago via public transportation, take the Metra Milwaukee District West line from the Itasca station to Union Station (50 minutes, fare $4.50). Many of these attractions are walking distance or a short bus or taxi ride from Union Station.
