ThyCa Welcomes Greater Lehigh Valley Support Group in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania (04/09)

ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Association, Inc., welcomes the Dayton, Ohio Support Group. The group’s next meeting will be held on May 13, 2009, with Suzanne Litzenberger as the group’s volunteer Facilitator. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

You’re cordially invited to contact the group facilitator and attend meetings, or simply show up at the Wellness Community, Greater Lehigh Valley, The Anneliese B. Vollrath House, 3400 Bath Pike, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where the monthly meetings are held. The group’s web page is www.thyca.org/sg/pa_bethlehem.htm and the e-mail is Bethlehem-PA@thyca.org.

At local support group meetings, you have the opportunity to meet and talk with others in your community face to face. The participants share their experiences, strength, and hope. You learn more about your community’s health care resources. You experience camaraderie and connections with others who live near you and are also coping with thyroid cancer.

Family members and friends are welcome to attend. Each local support group is facilitated by one or more ThyCa volunteers.

You’ll find each group’s meeting schedule, location, facilitator contact information, and other details on the group’s web page. The Find Support section of the ThyCa web site connects you with all the local support groups.
