ThyCa Welcomes New Dayton, Ohio, Support Group (04/09)

ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Association, Inc., welcomes the Dayton, Ohio Support Group. The group’s next meeting will be held on April 25, 2009 with Natalie Richardson and Lisa Cole as the group’s volunteer Co-Facilitators. Meetings will be held on the fourth Saturday of each month from 10:00-11:00 am.

You’re cordially invited to contact the group facilitator and attend meetings, or simply show up at the Beavercreek Community Library Community Room in Beavercreek, Ohio where the monthly meetings will be held. The group’s web page is www.thyca.org/sg/oh_dayton.htm and the e-mail is Dayton-OH@thyca.org.

At local support group meetings, you have the opportunity to meet and talk with others in your community face to face. The participants share their experiences, strength, and hope. You learn more about your community’s health care resources. You experience camaraderie and connections with others who live near you and are also coping with thyroid cancer.

Family members and friends are welcome to attend. Each local support group is facilitated by one or more ThyCa volunteers.

You’ll find each group’s meeting schedule, location, facilitator contact information, and other details on the group’s web page. The Find Support section of the ThyCa web site connects you with all the local support groups
